Treasurer - Dawn Stockton,

Press Officer – Suey Stockton,

U18’s Team Manager – Dave Smeaton

U16’s Team Manager – Luke Dinsdale

Players Representative – TBA

Firstly we would like to thank all the players both old and new for committing themselves to the Club and putting their confidence and trust in us. We will endeavour to reward your loyality to the best of our ability and we wish all the team’s the best of luck for the coming season.

The cost of running a football club such as ours is getting more and more expensive year after year, with new kits, equipment, pitch hire, match fees and the cost of training. Therefore the committee have decided that due to our current financial situation, annual subscriptions will have to be paid by all players at a cost of £175, which is the same as it has been for the previous three seasons. In order to remian debt free, we require at least half of this to be paid by mid November 2011 with the balance to be cleared by the end of February 2012. Payment can be paid in a variety of ways and Direct Debit mandate forms are available as in previous seasons. It is suggested that the senior players try to obtain personal sponorship to offset the costs and a letter for this kind of sponsorship is being drafted, if you require a copy please spek to your team manager. Younger players can also try and get personal sponsorship and if any parents, family or friends can offer any kind of sponsorship we would like to hear from you. All sponsors will have advertising space in the 1st team program, on our website and if requested, a space in the Rochdale AFC programme – if you require further details please conatct the club using the following email: mikefildes3@yahoo.co.uk

Our youth team managers require assistance both at the training and on match days. If you can help, no matter how small, your input would be greatly apreciated. Please contact Dave (u18’s) or Luke(u16’s). Dave has said that on match days he needs someone to act as a linesman so therefore knowledge of the rules would be needed.

Finally, the Committee would like to place on record their thanks to Dave Yates, Phil & Jane Peasrson for all their hard work and dedication to the Club.

Fund raising

This is an important aspect and is required to help keep the club afloat, any suggestions would be most welcome. We are hosting a race night/ xmas party on Friday 2nd December at Rochdale football club. The cost of entry will be confirmed in due course which will cover the running costs and include a buffet supper. If you know of anyone or a business that would like to sponsor the event then please let us know and if you cannot attend, please either buy a Horse or a Jockey, as by selling out all the races, the Club will be able to raise more money.

Season Update

With a difficult pre-season behind us, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The first team have made a highly impressive start and surprised many onlookers with the highlight being a well desreved victory over local rivals Manchester City. The reserves got off to a flyer with an excellent opening day win against last seasons division two champions, Cental Lancs and with the talent available, the upcoming fixtures should prove fruitful for both teams.

The u18’s began their campagin, suffering an early setback against Manchester Utd, but they should be able to get back on track in their forthcoming fixtures and the u16’s kick off their season with the visit of Hough End to Hopwood Hall.
